The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced a crushing defeat against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the iconic Chepauk stadium in IPL 2024. “They batted well to reach 210, but we felt confident with our batting lineup, and the pitch was playing well too. We’re satisfied with how our batters have performed throughout the tournament. Each player in the lineup has contributed to our wins at some point. Although it’s dewy now, it was the same in the first innings. We’ll quickly bounce back.”
The result of this match significantly impacts the IPL 2024 playoff scenarios. With this victory, CSK climbed to the crucial 3rd position in the points table, while SRH finds themselves pushed down to 4th. With an intense race unfolding as five teams hold five wins each, this season promises a nail-biting finish. To secure a playoff berth, Sunrisers Hyderabad will likely need to target three more victories in their remaining five league matches.
