Yuzvendra Chahal, a key member of India’s victorious 2024 T20 World Cup team in the West Indies, received recognition from Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini upon his return to the state. Despite not featuring in the tournament, the Chief Minister honored Chahal with a special medal, shawl, and souvenir on July 11.

India clinched the T20 World Cup title on June 29 by defeating South Africa in a closely contested final, marking their first ICC trophy win in a decade. Following their triumph, Chahal and his teammates celebrated with a victory parade in Mumbai the following week.
Throughout his career, Chahal has been a stalwart in both T20Is and ODIs, amassing 217 international wickets. His last T20I appearance was in August 2023 against West Indies, while his last ODI match was in January 2023 against New Zealand. Despite his recent absence from the international scene, he played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024 season under Sanju Samson’s leadership.
Looking ahead, fans and analysts eagerly anticipate whether Chahal’s experience and track record will earn him a recall to the Indian squad for future international fixtures.
