India celebrated their T20 World Cup victory with a grand parade in Mumbai, drawing thousands of enthusiastic fans. The Mumbai police force and other staff members meticulously managed the event.
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli expressed his gratitude to those who worked tirelessly on short notice to ensure the parade’s safety and success.

Virat Kohli took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank all the officers and staff who worked behind the scenes to ensure the parade’s success.
He wrote, “Deep respect and heartfelt thanks to all the officers and staff of @MumbaiPolice & @CPMumbaiPolice for doing a phenomenal job during Team India’s Victory Parade. Your dedication and service is highly appreciated.🙏🏼 Jai Hind! 🫡🇮🇳”
Mumbai Police responded to Kohli on X, acknowledging India’s achievement as G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time). They wrote, “Your G.O.A.T feat deserved nothing less but a befitting bandobast. The VIRAT celebration yesterday was our trophy 🏆.”
India ended a 17-year T20 World Cup drought by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in a thrilling final held in Barbados. This win brought a wave of emotions for many reasons.
The players and fans, filled with joy and pride, decided to celebrate together, leading to the grand victory parade in Mumbai.
Despite having an average tournament until the final, Kohli delivered an outstanding performance, winning the Player of the Match award.
This is Kohli’s first T20 World Cup title. If he wins the World Test Championship in the coming years, he will complete cricket’s grand slam. He has already won the ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy, the other two major ICC trophies.
