On August 18, 2024, India batter Rinku Singh celebrated one year in international cricket. He made his T20I debut for India against Ireland during their tour last year and has since become a key player in the shortest format.

Despite not featuring in the T20 World Cup 2024, Rinku has consistently impressed with his performances whenever called upon. To mark his first anniversary, he shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his gratitude and pride: “One year since the dream that turned into reality. Grateful for every moment in blue. Jai Hind.”
Rinku Singh’s journey is a testament to perseverance and hard work. He began his cricket career in Uttar Pradesh and then progressed through domestic levels, ultimately making his List A debut in March 2014. Following that, he took another significant step by making his first-class debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku began with Kings XI Punjab in 2017 and joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2018. The 2023 IPL season was pivotal for him as he became KKR’s leading run-scorer, amassing 474 runs in 14 matches with an impressive average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52.
This performance led to his call-up to the Indian national team. Rinku debuted in T20Is against Ireland on August 18, 2023, and further distinguished himself during India’s tour of South Africa, scoring his first T20I half-century and debuting in ODIs later that year.
