India left-arm spinner Radha Yadav recently required assistance during severe flooding in Vadodara, Gujarat. Radha Yadav expressed her gratitude to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for their help. In an Instagram post on Wednesday night, she shared a video showing the flood-affected areas, with rescue personnel approaching on a raft and people wading through chest-deep water. “We were stuck in a very bad situation. Thank you so much NDRF for rescuing us,” Yadav wrote.

Gujarat has faced significant flooding in recent days. Reports indicate that floods and rain-related incidents have caused 28 deaths and forced nearly 18,000 people to relocate to safer areas.
Radha Yadav, a member of India’s squad for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup starting October 3, last played in the women’s Asia Cup. There, she took a three-wicket haul in the semi-final against Bangladesh. In her international career, Yadav has played 80 T20Is and taken 90 wickets. She has appeared in four ODIs, where she has claimed one wicket.
India will compete in the T20 World Cup against defending champions Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand, with their opening match against New Zealand scheduled for October 4.
