Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir achieved a significant milestone in T20 cricket during his CPL 2024 appearance for Antigua & Barbuda Falcons against Guyana Amazon Warriors. Despite his efforts, the Falcons fell short, losing the match by 27 runs, ending their CPL 2024 league campaign on a disappointing note.

Amir’s two-wicket haul brought him to a major career milestone, as he became the third Pakistani fast bowler to take 350 T20 wickets, following Wahab Riaz (413 wickets) and Sohail Tanvir (389 wickets). He reached the landmark in his 305th T20 match, further establishing his place among the elite bowlers in the format.

The 32-year-old pacer is now part of an exclusive group of only 15 players in T20 history to have reached 350 wickets. This elite club includes notable names such as Rashid Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shakib Al Hasan, Chris Jordan, Imran Tahir, and Andre Russell. Amir’s overall T20 record stands at 350 wickets from 298 innings, with a strong bowling average of 22.58. Of these, 71 wickets came from his T20 international appearances for Pakistan, where he maintained an even better average of 21.94.

Dwayne Bravo and Rashid Khan continue to lead the all-time T20 wicket-takers list, each boasting over 600 wickets. Other top bowlers in the format include Sunil Narine, Imran Tahir, and Shakib Al Hasan. At just 32, Amir is well-positioned to continue adding to his tally in T20 franchise leagues globally.
