Young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh has experienced both highs and lows in his international career over the past three years. Despite criticism for his performance during the 2022 T20 World Cup, Arshdeep believed in his potential and made a strong comeback in the 2024 edition of the tournament. He finished as a joint-leading wicket-taker alongside Fazalhaq Farooqi, playing a crucial role in India’s success.
Now named in the ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series, Arshdeep Singh has shared his approach to finding inspiration. He draws motivation from various individuals, including daily wage workers, top students, and professors. He encourages the youth to keep working hard and trust in their efforts. “I try to get inspired by those who excel in their lives. My message to the youth is to keep giving your best and control what you can. Hard work will eventually pay off,” Arshdeep said after being honored by Chandigarh University.
Regarding his future in Test cricket, Arshdeep Singh expressed readiness if given the opportunity. Former India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has suggested it might be time for Arshdeep Singh to be included in the Test squad. Arshdeep responded that he is prepared to give his best in any format.
Arshdeep Singh will soon join the Indian squad and participate in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, starting on July 27.
