NSW dominated womenโs domestic cricket for years, winning 10 consecutive WNCL titles in the 2000s and 2010s. But after a tough rebuilding phase, they now have a golden chance to reclaim their throne. ๐๐ช
“Back then, winning was just expected because we had all the big names,” Coyte said. “Now, we have to fight for every victory, and that makes it even more special.” ๐ฅ
Coyte, now 33, knows what it takes to win. After leaving NSW in 2015-16, she helped South Australia break NSWโs streak before winning two more titles with Tasmania. Now, sheโs chasing her 10th WNCL title in 13 seasons! ๐ฒ๐

With no Australian internationals available due to WPL commitments, rising stars will take center stage. โญ Queensland will be without Georgia Voll, who left for India on Friday. However, Queensland captain Georgia Redmayne remains optimistic.

For NSW, senior players like Sammy-Jo Johnson and Sam Bates finally get their shot at a WNCL title after having to leave NSW early in their careers due to the teamโs past dominance.
“I always dreamt of wearing the baggy blue, but I had to go to Queensland to get my opportunity,” Johnson shared. “Now, we have a chance to build a new legacy for NSW cricket.” ๐๐ฅ
