The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its central contracts, with notable exclusions of and Shreyas Iyer, who failed to adhere to the directive of participating in the Ranji Trophy.

Leading the A plus category are stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja. The A category includes R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya.
Players like Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Yashasvi Jaiswal secured B category contracts.
Fifteen cricketers earned C category contracts, including Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaekwad, Shardul Thakur, and others.
However, the BCCI clarified that it did not consider Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan for contracts due to their non-compliance with the board’s directives.
Additionally, the selection committee recommended fast bowling contracts for several promising talents.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India emphasized the importance of players prioritizing domestic cricket when not representing the national team.
Unlike previous announcements, the Board of Control for Cricket in India did not disclose the remuneration across the contract categories, which traditionally ranged from Rs 7 crore for A plus to Rs one crore for C category, in addition to match fees.
