Australian cricket legend Aaron Finch, former World Cup-winning captain, and renowned aggressive opener, has officially announced his retirement from the Big Bash League (BBL). The decision comes after a challenging season with the Melbourne Renegades, marred by injuries.

The 37-year-old concluded his international career with Australia in February of the previous year, having represented the country across all three formats since 2011. Finch, a record-breaking batter, notably captained Australia to its first T20 World Cup victory in 2021 in Dubai.
