DAZN, the popular sports streaming platform, has announced it has secured exclusive broadcast rights for the upcoming Super League Basketball (SLB). Beginning September 27th, all games will be available for free to viewers around the globe, including the domestic audience in the UK.
As part of the agreement, DAZN will create a dedicated section on its platform specifically for Super League Basketball. This will feature both live and on-demand content, allowing fans to access all the action at no cost.
In a significant move for the sport, Super League Basketball has unified its men’s and women’s leagues under one brand, aimed at boosting visibility and engagement with basketball in the UK and beyond.
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We aim to leverage our extensive reach and cutting-edge technology to bring these competitions to both existing and new audiences, fostering a truly fan-centric global community. Super League Basketball is at a pivotal moment in its history and offers exceptional potential for commercial growth. We are excited to include it in our expanding international basketball portfolio and to collaborate in shaping its promising future. DAZN is rapidly establishing itself as the global home of basketball, and SLB will be a vital part of that vision.”

In addition to its SLB rights, DAZN has a partnership with FIBA that includes broadcasting live matches, FIBA World Cups, Continental Cup competitions, and U19/U17 World Cups. Subscribers can also enjoy regional club competitions, such as the Basketball Champions League, the Intercontinental Cup, EuroLeague Women, and national leagues including the NBL and Japan’s B. League.
Vaughn Millette, interim Chair of Super League Basketball, shared his excitement about the partnership: “We are thrilled to collaborate with DAZN for our global broadcast media rights. In our initial discussions, DAZN’s commitment to promoting and growing basketball impressed us. Their innovative approach will help us serve our fans and ensure consistent broadcast coverage of the league. With DAZN’s proven track record in securing international basketball rights, SLB now has a dedicated broadcast home. Fans will be able to watch every game live and free, positioning us alongside elite national basketball leagues in France and Italy. We are eager to get started.”
The dedicated Super League Basketball environment on DAZN will position content from the English leagues alongside DAZN’s other free offerings, targeting both its main subscriber base and basketball enthusiasts worldwide. Initially available in English, the user interface will expand to include up to seven languages, such as Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, and Portuguese, in select markets.
