Top Players Named in Basketball Champions League Week 3

As Week 3 of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League wraps up, it’s time to acknowledge the standout individual performances from Tuesday and Wednesday’s thrilling matchups. The latest Team of the Week features Zoltan Perl, Errick McCollum, Christian Vital, Gytis Radzevicius, and Thomas Kennedy.

Zoltan Perl earns a spot in the Team of the Week for the second time this season, having previously captured the Player of the Week honors in Week 1 after winning the fans’ vote. His stellar play has propelled Falco-Vulcano Szombathely to a 2-0 start in the BCL, marking just the second time in the club’s history they have achieved such a feat.

Errick McCollum has also made waves this week, stepping up for Karsiyaka with a determined performance. At 36 years old and approaching his 37th birthday in January, McCollum showcased his experience and leadership, motivating the younger players while proving he remains a force in west Turkiye.

Christian Vital was a dominant presence for Bertram Derthona Basket, particularly during the first half of their game against BAXI Manresa. His exceptional three-point shooting helped his team join the elite ranks of eight teams with a 2-0 record in the BCL.

Gytis Radzevicius set a new career high in the BCL during his 41st game in the competition, contributing significantly to Rytas’s first win of the season. With upcoming matches against Perl and Szombathely, Radzevicius aims to build on this momentum.

Finally, Thomas Kennedy emerged as the unsung hero in Telekom Baskets Bonn’s victory over AEK Betsson BC. With a remarkable average of 10.0 rebounds per game, he leads the BCL in rebounding this season, solidifying his role as a key player for his team.

The league encourages fans to vote for the Player of the Week, continuing to showcase thrilling basketball and emerging talents throughout the season.
