In a recent interview on the UFC YouTube channel, McGregor outlined his financial aspirations. “Michael Jordan is at the top largely due to the success of the Jordan brand, which has amassed him several billions,” McGregor stated. “I believe he has earned around $3.3 billion. I’m approaching a billion myself, with approximately $650 million to date. I’ve set my sights on climbing higher.”
When interviewed, Forbes ranked McGregor 33rd among the richest athletes, though he has since dropped to the lower end of the top 50. Estimates suggest that McGregor has earned $555 million over his career, with his most significant payday coming from his 2017 bout against Floyd Mayweather, which earned him about $100 million.
Despite McGregor’s impressive earnings, he still trails Jordan significantly. The basketball icon, including his NBA career and lucrative partnership with Nike, is estimated to have accumulated around $3.75 billion. While McGregor continues to aim high, surpassing Jordan remains a formidable challenge.
