A nostalgic video of Hollywood stars Adam Sandler and Timothée Chalamet playing basketball in a New York public court has resurfaced, delighting fans once more. The footage, originally filmed last year, features the duo engaged in a friendly three-on-three game, showcasing their casual athleticism and camaraderie.

The video gained renewed attention after Secret NYC shared it on Instagram, coinciding with Sandler’s birthday on September 9. The post celebrated the iconic comedian and actor, captioning it, “We still can’t believe this happened. “Happy birthday to NYC fashion icon and b-ball legend Adam Sandler!” In the clip, both actors wear grey T-shirts and basketball shorts, clearly enjoying the game as they dribble and run around the court.

As the post went viral, fans quickly reacted, with many sharing their thoughts on the unique experience of seeing celebrities in everyday situations. One fan remarked, “Welcome to New York! This is how it is here. Very normal. The tourists are the only people who fawn over actors!” Another person added, “You can have random interactions with celebrities on the street in one of the only cities in the world.”

For those who may not know, Sandler and Chalamet previously appeared together in the 2014 film Men, Women & Children, directed by Jason Reitman. The film explores the lives of high school teenagers and their parents navigating the complexities of the digital age. Both actors have expressed admiration for each other over the years. During his acceptance speech at the 2022 Gotham Awards, Sandler humorously referenced Chalamet, saying. “I don’t want to spend a whole night that’s supposed to be about me and my greatness listening to you two newly pubertized buffoons screaming. ‘Where is Timothée Chalamet and how can we legally squeeze that fine little Jewish ass of his?’”

On the professional front, Timothée Chalamet has earned acclaim for his standout performances in films like Call Me By Your Name and Dune 2, with his upcoming project titled A Complete Unknown generating buzz. Meanwhile, Adam Sandler has recently appeared in Spaceman and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.

As fans reminisce about this light-hearted moment between two of Hollywood’s most beloved actors. The video reminds viewers of the charm and spontaneity that people can find in everyday life in New York City.
