Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise From the Shadow- has revealed the preview for Episode 12 (overall Episode 24). After the intense events of Episode 11, Jinwoo has finally arrived on Jeju Island through his “Exchange.” Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the much-anticipated clash between Jinwoo and the Ant King Beru, a monster that has been growing stronger since its birth. Akira Ishida, a renowned voice actor, brings Beru to life.
A-1 Pictures is handling the animation, and with only 13 episodes confirmed for this season, Episode 12 will be the penultimate installment. Crunchyroll continues to stream the series globally.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 12 Synopsis
Jinwoo arrives on Jeju Island and swiftly eliminates the swarm of winged ants. He uses potions to heal the wounded S-rank hunters. However, despite his efforts, Cha Hae-in’s severe injuries leave her unconscious and beyond immediate healing. As they attempt to escape quickly, a menacing “black-winged ant” with an overwhelming aura blocks their path, setting the stage for an intense confrontation.
About Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling originated as a web novel titled Only I Level Up (나 혼자만 레벨업) by Chugong, first serialized on KakaoPage in 2016. In 2018, REDICE Studio adapted it into a webtoon, illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (pen name DUBU), known for producing high-quality manhwa. Gi So-Ryeong initially adapted the script to the webtoon format, with h-goon taking over in 2019 until the series ended in 2023. Sadly, DUBU passed away in July 2022 due to chronic health issues.
The anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures is based on the webtoon. Season 1 aired 12 episodes from January to April 2024, with Shunsuke Nakashige directing, Tomoko Sudo designing the characters, and Hiroyuki Sawano composing the music. Solo Leveling was voted the most anticipated anime of Winter 2024 and won Best New Anime at the Winter 2024 Anime Awards. Season 2 was later voted the most anticipated anime of Winter 2025, ranking fourth in the latest weekly charts (Week 10).
