The upcoming anime Fermat no Ryori (Fermat’s Cuisine or Fermat’s Kitchen) has unveiled its first teaser visual and trailer. The series is set to premiere in July 2025.
The story revolves around Gaku Kitada, a math prodigy who once dreamed of becoming a mathematician. However, after failing to get into his desired school, he abandons his ambitions. His life takes a new turn when he meets Kai Asakura, an ambitious chef. Under Asakura’s guidance, Kitada gradually discovers his own talent in cooking, using his mathematical skills to create extraordinary dishes.

The anime’s main voice cast was previously announced. Taito Ban will voice Kai Asakura, while Ryosuke Tomita will portray Gaku Kitada. The production studio and staff details are yet to be revealed, but the first trailer showcases the lead cast in their roles.
The adaptation is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Yugo Kobayashi. Since its serialization began in 2018, the manga has released four volumes and surpassed 500,000 copies in circulation as of early 2025. The series has also been adapted into a live-action TV drama, which aired from October to December 2023. The drama starred Fumiya Takahashi as Gaku Kitada and Jun Shison as Kai Asakura.
With its unique fusion of mathematics and culinary arts, Fermat no Ryori has gained significant attention. Fans are now eagerly awaiting further updates, including details about the production team and additional cast members.
