On Tuesday, Virat Kohli left for Kanpur to prepare for the second Test against Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium. Kohli arrived in Delhi from Chennai on Sunday and departed from IGI Airport accompanied by head coach Gautam Gambhir and teammate Rishabh Pant.
In a video, Kohli is spotted exiting a room alongside Pant, who recently scored a century, while being heavily guarded by security. Another clip shows him walking towards the airport gate with Gambhir. The 35-year-old cricketer, who recently welcomed his second child with wife Anushka Sharma, looked stylish in a simple yet chic outfit.
Starting September 27, India, led by Rohit Sharma, will face Bangladesh in the second Test of their two-match series. However, Kohli will not participate in the subsequent three-match T20I series after announcing his retirement from the shortest format earlier this year.
Kohli’s performance in the first Test was disappointing, with scores of six and 17 in his two innings. He will be eager to bounce back as India prepares for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 60 days.
Off the field, rumors suggest that Kohli and Anushka have moved to London permanently with their children, Vamika and Akaay. Recent videos and photos show them enjoying their time in the city, attending various events and exploring local markets while taking a break from their busy schedules in India.
