On 31 July, Cassandre Beaugrand made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics by winning gold in the women’s individual triathlon. Competing at the picturesque Alexandre III Pontoon. The French athlete finished with a remarkable time of 1:54:55, marking the first Olympic medal for France in this event.
Beaugrand’s victory was hard-earned, as she fended off fierce competition from Switzerland’s Julie Derron, who secured the silver medal with a time of 1:55:01. Great Britain’s Beth Potter completed the podium by taking the bronze.
