ENG vs WI 2024: West Indies reveal team for second Test

Surprisingly, the West Indies have named an unchanged team for the second Test against England, with Kraigg Brathwaite continuing as captain. Shamar Joseph, injured in the first Test, is now available to play.

Brathwaite stressed the importance of the team scoring more runs after they were bowled out for 121 and 136 in the first Test at Lord’s. He acknowledged that while there were some positives with the bat, it wasn’t enough to win the match.

“It’s pretty simple what we’ve got to do. We’ve got to bat a lot better. We’ve discussed different things we can do better as a team. There are some positives with the bat, but we need to put more runs on the board. It’s simple,” Brathwaite said.

West Indies Playing XI for the Trent Bridge Test:

Kraigg Brathwaite (C), Alick Athanaze, Joshua Da Silva (WK), Kavem Hodge, Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Mikyle Louis, Kirk McKenzie, Gudakesh Motie, and Jayden Seales.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the ENG vs WI 2024 second Test to see how the West Indies Test series 2024 unfolds. The ENG vs WI 2024 match at Trent Bridge Test 2024 promises exciting cricket action. The West Indies batting strategy will be under scrutiny, especially after the Kraigg Brathwaite interview highlighting the need for improvement.
