The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in complete control of their IPL 2024 clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Chepauk stadium. After posting a formidable total of 212 runs while batting first, CSK’s bowlers have been relentless, taking wickets at regular intervals and putting themselves in a strong winning position in the 46th match of the season.

The dominance continued with the fall of the fourth wicket. Nitish Reddy, struggling to find his rhythm, departed after scoring a sluggish 15 runs off 15 balls in the 9th over of the SRH innings. Ravindra Jadeja proved to be his downfall, surprising Reddy with a short delivery clocked at 104 KPH. The ball deceived Reddy, who mistimed his pull shot, resulting in a big top edge.
MS Dhoni, showcasing his exceptional wicket-keeping skills behind the stumps, remained calm and collected as the ball went to his left. He grabbed the catch with ease, sending Reddy back to the pavilion and sending the ecstatic Chepauk crowd into a frenzy. The crowd erupted in cheers, further amplifying the electric atmosphere at their home ground.
Following Reddy’s dismissal, Markram was cleaned up by a perfect yorker from the impressive Matheesha Pathirana. This double blow seems to have tilted the momentum decisively in CSK’s favor. Consequently, it suggests a potential return to form for the ‘Men in Yellow’ after their two consecutive losses against LSG.
