Omitted from ODI Squad Against West Indies, Marcus Stoinis Understands Decision and Sets Sights on T20 Success

Australian allrounder Marcus Stoinis has signed up to play for Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20, affiliated with his IPL club Lucknow. Stoinis, aware of his omission from the ODI squad against West Indies. Has been in regular discussions with the selectors for six months. Despite missing the ODIs, he remains focused on contributing to the T20 World Cup campaign.
Stoinis, a mainstay in Australia’s T20 middle order since the 2021 triumph in the UAE, expressed his support for Aaron Hardie’s selection in the ODI squad, considering it a logical move in the post-World Cup transition period. While Stoinis will be playing franchise cricket in South Africa after the BBL. He aims to be part of the T20I series against West Indies and New Zealand in February.
The allrounder, currently with Melbourne Stars in the BBL, emphasized his intention to continue playing T20 cricket for Australia.
