Alana King has returned to the No. 1 position in the ICC ODI bowling rankings, just four days after slipping to second place. She reclaimed the top spot from Sophie Ecclestone following her impressive performance against West Indies.

King played a key role in Australia’s recent ODI series, where she took 5 wickets for just 19 runs in the third match. She ended the three-match series with six wickets at an average of 17.66, helping Australia secure a dominant 3-0 clean sweep. Her all-round contributions also pushed her up to seventh place in the ODI all-rounder rankings, moving ahead of Nat Sciver-Brunt.
Meanwhile, New Zealand players also made significant progress in the rankings after their 2-1 series win over South Africa. Maddy Green was the standout performer with the bat, scoring 239 runs at an impressive average of 119.50. This performance helped her climb four spots to reach a career-best ninth position among ODI batters.
Amelia Kerr also impressed, moving up six places to joint 14th in the batting rankings. She scored 215 runs in the series, including a remarkable unbeaten 179 in the second ODI, which helped New Zealand chase down a record target of 347 runs.
Kerr also contributed with the ball, taking four wickets in the series. Her all-round performance played a key role in New Zealand winning the series despite losing the first match.
Overall, the latest rankings reflect strong performances from Australia and New Zealand players in recent ODI matches.
