Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova has pulled out of the upcoming Indian Wells and Miami Open tournaments due to a persistent back injury π’. The world No. 16 has not competed since November, as she continues her recovery π₯.
π Lingering Injury Woes
Krejcikova, who stunned the tennis world by winning Wimbledon last year π, initially suffered the injury during the Asian swing of the WTA Tour π. She was visibly struggling at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, where she still managed to reach the semifinals.
After skipping the Australian Open π¦πΊ in January, the 29-year-old Czech hoped for a return but has now decided to extend her break for proper rehabilitation β³.

With Krejcikovaβs withdrawal, Austriaβs Julia Grabher will take her place in the Indian Wells main draw ποΈ.
