Marc Marquez Embraces Monster Sponsorship as He Joins Ducati Lenovo Team

Marc Marquez has officially made his debut as a factory Ducati MotoGP rider, sporting Monster Energy branding for the first time following his split with long-time sponsor Red Bull.

The eight-time world champion had been a Red Bull athlete throughout his illustrious career, with the brand even supporting him during his stint with the Gresini Ducati team. However, Marquez’s move to Ducati’s official factory team for the 2025 season meant a change in his personal sponsorship due to Ducati’s partnership with Monster Energy.

At an event at Red Bull’s Hangar 7 in Austria, Marquez confirmed that his long-standing relationship with the energy drink brand would come to an end in 2025. On Monday, during his first public appearance as a Ducati rider in Italy, Marquez showcased his new partnership by donning Monster Energy logos on his leathers. However, it is important to note that Marquez will not be an official Monster athlete in 2025, leaving open the possibility of a future return to Red Bull.

Additionally, Marquez’s iconic Red Bull logos on his crash helmet have been replaced with Estrella Galicia branding, further signifying his shift away from his previous sponsor.

Marquez will team up with reigning MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia at the factory Ducati team for the next two years. In his first season with Ducati’s Desmosedici, Marquez impressed by securing three Grand Prix victories and finishing third in the standings. Meanwhile, Bagnaia ended the 2024 season as the runner-up, narrowly losing the championship to Pramac Ducati’s Jorge Martin, who moved to factory Aprilia for 2025.

Ducati had a dominant 2024 season, winning 19 out of 20 Grands Prix and clinching the constructors’ championship with a 395-point lead over KTM.
