With the 2024 MotoGP season now behind them, Jorge Martin and the Marquez brothers, Marc and Alex, have turned their attention to off-season training on the motocross track. The trio recently hit the El Bunker Motoarea track in Brunete, located just outside Madrid, to prepare for the 2025 season, with photos shared on the track’s Instagram capturing the riders enjoying their time between sessions.
Marc Marquez rode a Honda CRF450R, a bike that harks back to his time as a factory Honda rider. However, as Marquez gears up for a new chapter with Ducati in 2025, he may soon add the Desmo450 MX to his collection, as Ducati’s motocross bike is set for production in 2025. Meanwhile, Martin opted for a KTM 125SX two-stroke during the winter months, continuing his training off the MotoGP grid.
The trio’s motocross session is part of their off-season preparation for the 2025 MotoGP season. Martin comes off a successful 2024 campaign, where he crowned himself champion in the premier class for the first time, while Marc Marquez finished second in his first season with Ducati machinery. Marquez will move up to replace Enea Bastianini in Ducati’s factory team next year, a seat Martin was also vying for. Ducati’s decision to choose Marquez led Martin to explore new opportunities with Aprilia for the upcoming season.
Of the three riders at El Bunker, Alex Marquez is the only one remaining with his current team for 2025, although he will be switching from the Desmosedici GP23 to the new GP24 model. As the 2025 season approaches, all three riders focus on refining their skills and preparing for what promises to be an exciting new chapter in their careers.
