Jack Miller has openly addressed the uncertainty surrounding his MotoGP career. Revealing that he may face an end to his time in the premier class of motorcycle racing.
With Pedro Acosta set to replace him in KTM’s factory team for 2025, Miller initially anticipated move to Tech3 garage. However, the surprise signing of Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales a few hours before the official announcement left Miller’s future in question.
When asked about his hopes of remaining in MotoGP beyond 2024, Miller shared with Motosan: “My plan is yes, I would love to be one. I want to be here. I don’t see myself anywhere else but here, I feel like I’m still getting better at end of the day.”
At 29, Miller is younger than Johann Zarco, who will be the oldest rider at 35, and Marc Marquez, who will be 32 next year. Despite this, Miller acknowledges the passage of time since he joined MotoGP at 19.
“Exactly. But I feel like I’m getting stronger mentally, physically, everything. So I want to be here,” Miller stated. “I feel like if my career ended tomorrow, would I be disappointed? No. Because I have achieved more than I could have ever imagined, but I still feel hungry and want to go for more.”
He added, “I want more podiums, more wins, whatever, more strong races before I quit.”

Despite the looming possibility of his MotoGP career ending, Miller remains upbeat. “I’m not worried at all,” he said. “I am very lucky. Ruby and I have a beautiful house in Australia. We own our cars. We have everything done.”
Miller reflects on his career with satisfaction, stating, “I’m satisfied, but I still feel that I can give something more. But if it’s over, it’s over; I’m not going to try to hold on to something that is dying dream. I don’t want to be that guy.”
Last season, Miller struggled against teammate Brad Binder, and while a promising P5 in Portimao this year offered hope, it was not sustained. With Acosta’s impressive form, pressure on KTM riders has intensified.
For the 2025 season, current openings include Gresini Ducati and VR46 Ducati, but Miller is not anticipated to join either team. LCR and Repsol Honda are likely to retain their current riders, and Yamaha’s factory team is expected to re-sign Alex Rins.
This leaves Trackhouse Aprilia or Pramac Yamaha as potential destinations for Miller, should he remain in MotoGP.
