The MotoGP 2025 winter testing calendar has been officially unveiled, providing teams and fans with a detailed look at the pre-season preparations leading up to the new season.
The action kicks off with the traditional Valencia Test, scheduled for November 19, 2024. This session will serve as the initial opportunity for teams to evaluate their bikes and strategies before the winter break.
Following the Valencia Test, the teams will head to Malaysia for a series of crucial tests. The Sepang Shakedown Test, taking place from January 31 to February 2, 2025, will be exclusively for test riders, rookies. And race riders from manufacturers in concession Rank D, currently Yamaha and Honda. This will be followed by the Official Malaysian Test from February 5 to 7, where all teams will have the chance to fine-tune their machines.
The winter testing period will culminate with a significant session at Buriram, Thailand. Buriram, which will host the 2025 MotoGP season opener from February 28 to March 2, will also serve as the venue for the final pre-season test on February 12-13. This test will be crucial for teams to finalize their setups and strategies before the season’s first race.
For the Moto2 and Moto3 categories, the pre-season testing schedule is as follows:
- Valencia Moto3 Test: February 7-8, 2025
- Valencia Moto2 Test: February 9-10, 2025
- Jerez Moto2 & Moto3 Test: February 18-20, 2025
