Podcast host Jordan Moreland pointed out Marquez’s history with Aprilia, having previously won on a Derbi, which was a rebadged Aprilia, in the 125GP class. The panel speculated on whether Aprilia would be open to signing Marquez, given their recent success and the allure of having a rider of Marquez’s caliber.

However, McLaren cautioned that Ducati, Marquez’s current team, might be reluctant to let go of him, especially with the threat posed by other manufacturers like KTM and Aprilia. The discussion also touched on the possibility of Marquez returning to Honda, but Jones suggested that such a scenario is unlikely, given Marquez’s recent comments and his desire for new challenges.
