Johann Zarco Reflects on Ducati’s Versatility and Optimism for Other MotoGP Manufacturers

Johann Zarco, one of the six Ducati riders to win a race in 2023, praises the manufacturer’s versatility. Despite moving to LCR Honda, he believes other MotoGP manufacturers are only a few changes away from reaching the top.

In the 2023 MotoGP season, Johann Zarco was part of an impressive Ducati lineup, contributing to a record-setting achievement with six different Ducati riders winning races. Even the two Ducati riders who didn’t secure a grand prix victory, Alex Marquez and Luca Marini, showcased noteworthy performances.

However, despite his success with Ducati, Johann Zarco has made a move to LCR Honda for the upcoming season. When analyzing the overall performance, he believes that the difference among manufacturers is not significant. Nevertheless, Zarco sees this as a source of hope for other MotoGP manufacturers. Indicating that a few strategic changes could propel them to the top.

Zarco highlights Ducati’s achievement in providing every rider with a competitive bike, enabling them to contend for race wins and podiums. Highlighting the manufacturer’s commitment to ensuring every rider connects well with the bike, he credits this for their fantastic season.

However, Zarco believes that when analyzing the overall performance, the difference among manufacturers is not significant. He sees this as a source of hope for other MotoGP manufacturers, indicating that a few strategic changes could propel them to the top.

Reflecting on his successful season with Pramac, where he secured his long-awaited debut MotoGP win and contributed to an historic victory in the teams’ world championship, Zarco expresses pride in being part of the team’s achievements. Though not anticipating a teams’ title challenge initially, Zarco and Jorge Martin played a crucial role in achieving the milestone.

As Zarco prepares to switch to LCR Honda, he remains optimistic about the competitiveness of other MotoGP manufacturers.
