Jack Miller finds himself under increasing pressure as doubts loom over his future with KTM, according to recent observations.
At the Qatar MotoGP season opener, Miller’s race took a challenging turn when he lost control of his KTM, resulting in a setback that relegated him to the back of the pack. Despite his efforts, he finished 21st overall, with his difficulties compounded by a 10th-place finish in the sprint race.
Adding to Miller’s challenges, newcomer Pedro Acosta delivered a standout performance in his debut premier class race, garnering attention and speculation about KTM’s future lineup.
Sylvain Guintoli remarked on the situation, noting that Miller is likely to feel the weight of expectations and uncertainties surrounding his contract status. With riders like Pecco Bagnaia and Brad Binder securing renewals, the focus shifts to the remaining spots, with Acosta emerging as a formidable contender.

Miller’s decision to opt for a soft front tire in the sprint race, contrary to others’ choices, raised questions about his confidence in his equipment. His subsequent crash during Sunday’s race, despite switching to a medium tire, further adds to the pressure he faces.
Meanwhile, Acosta’s impressive debut performance for Tech3 GASGAS has intensified discussions about KTM’s potential to secure one of the most promising talents in MotoGP. Although Binder remains under contract, Miller and Augusto Fernandez are set to reach the end of their deals this season.
The contrasting outcomes for Miller and Acosta in Qatar have reignited speculation about the 2025 season lineup, prompting discussions and debates about KTM’s roster decisions moving forward.
