Ducati’s Discussions with Fermin Aldeguer: Separating Fact from Fiction

Amid rumors of a confirmed signing, Ducati’s top executives have clarified that talks with Fermin Aldeguer are ongoing, dispelling speculation of a finalized deal.

However, Ducati’s representatives have shed light on the situation, emphasizing that while discussions have taken place, they haven’t reached any formal agreement.

Davide Tardozzi, speaking on behalf of Ducati, acknowledged Aldeguer’s exceptional talent showcased in Moto2 but underscored that negotiations are still in progress.

While recognizing Aldeguer’s potential as a promising rider for the future. Ducati’s Gigi Dall’Igna clarified that no contractual arrangements have been finalized with the young Spanish talent.

Aldeguer, at just 18 years old, has garnered attention for his impressive performances in Moto2, finishing third overall in the previous season. Despite strong links to MotoGP vacancies at Repsol Honda and VR46, he will continue in Moto2 with Speed Up Racing for the upcoming season.

As speculation mounts regarding Aldeguer’s future in MotoGP, Ducati remains engaged in discussions with the talented rider, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding his eventual destination.
