Valentino Rossi Still Thrills: GoPro Footage Shows Icon Racing at His Motor Ranch

Valentino Rossi may have retired from professional motorcycle racing nearly three years ago, but his passion for riding remains undiminished. In a recently shared video on his social media, Rossi takes fans on a thrilling ride around his iconic Motor Ranch aboard a Yamaha YZ450F, joined by reigning MotoGP World Champion Francesco Bagnaia and VR46 Ducati rider Marco Bezzecchi.

The on-board GoPro footage offers a firsthand glimpse of the flat track action, with Rossi showcasing the skills that made him a legend in the sport. Despite no longer competing on the MotoGP grid, the nine-time world champion proved he hasn’t lost his touch, battling side-by-side with Bezzecchi and Bagnaia over several intense laps on the dirt.

While the exact timing of the video is unknown, it’s clear that Rossi’s competitive spirit is still alive and well. The footage captures moments of Bagnaia backing out of an attempted overtake on Bezzecchi into one of the Ranch’s tight hairpin turns—likely a relief for fans still buzzing from the recent on-track clash between Bagnaia and Alex Marquez at the Aragon Grand Prix.

As Bagnaia and Marquez were exchanging paint in Aragon, Rossi was taking on a different kind of challenge at the Lone Star Le Mans, the 6 Hours of COTA at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Piloting the #46 BMW alongside teammates Ahmad Al Harthy and Maxime Martin, Rossi had climbed from a 15th place start to a promising fourth position, closing in on the podium as the clock ticked down. Unfortunately, a mechanical failure dashed their hopes just minutes before the finish line, ending their race prematurely after a determined effort in chilly four-degree Celsius conditions.

Despite the disappointment at COTA, Rossi’s enthusiasm for racing clearly remains, whether he’s competing in endurance events or tearing up the dirt with his protégés at the Ranch. For Rossi, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of flat tracking with friends and fellow racers, and his latest video is a testament to his enduring love for the sport.

Rossi’s Motor Ranch, a training ground that has become a legendary venue in its own right, continues to be the backdrop for unforgettable riding sessions. Whether on the MotoGP grid or off, Rossi’s influence and legacy in motorsport are undeniable, as he continues to inspire the next generation of riders.
