Former UFC champion and MMA pioneer Ronda Rousey has embraced motherhood for the second time. On Thursday, the UFC Hall of Famer announced the arrival of her second daughter, Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, through a heartfelt post on Instagram. The post featured a touching moment of Rousey’s eldest daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, meeting her newborn sister in the hospital.
Rousey, 36, shared the news of her pregnancy back in July during a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. She and her husband, former UFC heavyweight fighter Travis Browne, welcomed their first daughter, La’akea, in 2021.
A trailblazer in the world of mixed martial arts, Rousey holds a revered place in sports history. She became the UFC’s first-ever female champion, reigning as the women’s bantamweight titleholder for nearly three years. During her tenure, she defended her belt six times, solidifying her legacy as a pioneer in women’s MMA.
After stepping away from MMA following two high-profile losses, Rousey transitioned to professional wrestling. She joined WWE, where she quickly made an impact, winning multiple championships. However, she retired from wrestling in 2023, citing health concerns, including concussions, and challenges with the organization.
As she shifts her focus to her growing family, Rousey remains an inspirational figure, leaving an indelible mark on combat sports and beyond. Her latest chapter as a mother adds another layer to her remarkable journey.
