Addressing reporters at a UFC on ESPN 55 pre-fight news conference, Silva emphasized the arduous nature of her journey, spanning over 12 years of dedicated effort alongside her team. She clarified, “It wasn’t quick, guys. It wasn’t fast. It was actually the work of 12 years. When I say ‘our’ work, what I mean by ‘our,’ is our team.”
Silva’s transition from Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021 to victories over notable opponents like Poliana Botelho, Ketlen Souza, and Maryna Moroz has been the culmination of years of hard work and perseverance.
