In a significant development for the upcoming PFL vs. Bellator event, the organizers have altered the bout between Gabriel Braga and Aaron Pico, with Braga now set to face former Bellator champion Patricio ‘Pitbull’. However, is likely to remain on the card, although the confirmation of his opponent is pending.
After Jesus Pinedo withdrew, initially scheduled to fight Braga, Patricio ‘Pitbull’ found himself without an opponent. Braga, a Season 5 finalist, will now step in to face Pitbull, with the matchup expected to feature prominently on the main card of the event.
The PFL vs. Bellator event, scheduled to take place at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will broadcast live on ESPN+ pay-per-view and DAZN.

There are reports suggesting that Aaron Pico could still compete on the card, potentially in a rematch against Henry Corrales, who previously defeated him in a bout under the Bellator banner in 2019. However, this matchup has not received official confirmation. Corrales’ victory over Pico was considered a significant upset at the time.
Braga’s opportunity to face Pitbull comes after his defeat to Pinedo in the finals of the PFL Season 5 featherweight tournament. Pitbull, on the other hand, enters the PFL with two consecutive losses, including a stoppage defeat to Chihiro Suzuki in RIZIN and a decision loss to Bellator bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis.
Pico’s most recent appearance in the Bellator cage saw him secure a victory over Pedro Carvalho via TKO this past September.
