Netflix is set to launch a three-episode docuseries titled “Countdown: Paul vs Tyson,” which will provide an in-depth look at the training camps of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson in the lead-up to their highly anticipated heavyweight boxing match on November 15. The live event is scheduled to kick off at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT.
The docuseries promises intimate access to both fighters, featuring Jake “The Problem Child” Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) and Mike “The Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) as they prepare for their showdown. The first two episodes of “Countdown” will premiere on November 7, followed by the final episode on November 12, just three days before the match takes place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
In addition to the focus on Paul and Tyson, the docuseries will also cover the buildup to an exciting women’s match between super lightweight champion Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) and featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs), who will compete for the undisputed super lightweight championship title.
“Countdown: Paul vs Tyson” is produced by EverWonder Studio, with Ian Orefice and Michael Antinoro serving as executive producers. The directing team includes Tim Mullen and Jackie Decker.
Originally scheduled for July, the much-anticipated matchup between Paul and Tyson was postponed to November after Most Valuable Promotions, the event’s promoter, announced that Tyson needed time to recover from an ulcer flare-up.
Fans can look forward to an exciting lead-up to this historic event as the docuseries provides exclusive insights into the lives and preparations of both boxing legends.
