The Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto has announced a significant surge in ticket sales, shaping the 2025 Spanish MotoGP into one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. As of 14 January, the circuit reported a 50% increase in ticket sales for the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix compared to the same period in 2024. This follows a 4% increase in ticket sales from 2023 to 2024, further highlighting the growing popularity of the event.
The circuit’s official statement confirmed that this year’s ticket sales have outpaced those of last year by 13,920 tickets, bringing the total sold so far to an impressive number. There are currently only 6,200 grandstand seats remaining from a total of 39,307.
While the exact reasons for this surge in ticket sales remain speculative, the circuit attributes the increase to several recent initiatives aimed at boosting fan engagement. These initiatives include the introduction of Sprints, the Hero Walk, and other off-track attractions like live music designed to enhance the overall race experience.
The exciting developments in the MotoGP lineup for 2025 are likely fueling the event’s popularity. The recent crowning of Jorge Martin as the 2024 MotoGP World Champion, alongside his move to Aprilia as a full-factory rider, has sparked widespread interest. Additionally, the arrival of Marc Marquez at the Ducati Lenovo Team, where he will partner Francesco Bagnaia, has further ignited fan excitement. Marquez’s highly competitive performance alongside Bagnaia, particularly during the thrilling 2024 Jerez race, is expected to add to the anticipation for the upcoming event.
