In an action-packed sprint race at the F1 Chinese Grand Prix, Max Verstappen emerged victorious, overcoming a challenging start to beat to the win.
The championship leader initially struggled with his hybrid settings, hampering his progress in the early laps. However, adjustments made mid-race helped him gain momentum and mount a formidable challenge.
Verstappen’s ascent began with a smooth overtake on Fernando Alonso, swiftly followed by a decisive move on Hamilton, who had initially led the race. Despite Hamilton’s efforts to maintain his position, a lock-up at Turn 14 opened the door for Verstappen to seize the lead, which he extended with impressive pace.

Behind the leaders, Sergio Perez battled his way to third place in a thrilling duel with Alonso, Carlos Sainz, and the Ferrari drivers. Alonso, initially in contention with Hamilton, fell back after a puncture caused by contact with Sainz, allowing Perez to capitalize and secure the final podium spot.
Meanwhile, Lando Norris, who suffered an early setback, fought his way back into contention but ultimately missed out on a podium finish. Despite his efforts, Norris settled for sixth place, ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.
George Russell rounded out the top eight, opting for a strategic gamble on soft tires to secure valuable points. Overall, the race provided plenty of excitement and drama, setting the stage for further action in the ongoing championship battle.
