Lewis Hamilton voiced his discomfort with Mercedes’ latest car after being out-qualified by his teammate once again at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
Qualifying eighth on the grid behind George Russell, Hamilton admitted to facing difficulties with the car’s bouncing problem, which has persisted despite extensive changes to the design.
Lewis Hamilton acknowledged that while several aspects of the car had improved, the issue of bouncing through certain turns remained a significant hindrance. This problem, affecting turns six through ten, disrupted his confidence during qualifying.

Although adjustments made overnight and in the morning seemed promising, the issue resurfaced during the qualifying session. However, Hamilton credited Russell for his strong performance and noted similarities to challenges faced in previous years.
The consistently high speeds and lateral loads experienced at the Jeddah circuit exacerbated the bouncing problem, making it difficult for Hamilton and the team to address.
Despite numerous setup changes, the bouncing issue persists, particularly in the high-speed first sector of the track. Hamilton explained how the bouncing affects the car’s balance and stability, emphasizing the urgency to resolve the issue.
With the problem recurring for the third consecutive year, Hamilton expressed determination to address it and ensure the car’s stability, especially in high-speed corners where competitors like Max Verstappen maintain better control.
