Formula One has announced the launch of EA SPORTS’ highly anticipated F1 24 video game, packed with exciting new features designed to offer the most realistic experience yet for fans.
The revamped ‘Career Mode’ now lets players race as a current F1 driver or a legendary Icon from the past, providing opportunities to rewrite history or create new storylines. This mode also introduces the Driver Recognition System, allowing players to meet their driver and team’s short-term and long-term goals.
Additionally, the updated ‘Two-Player Career Mode’ enables friends to play together cooperatively or competitively, while the new ‘Challenge Career’ mode offers a customized, bite-sized experience with scenarios chosen by real-world drivers and the gaming community.
A standout feature is the innovative EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling, which redefines the car’s physics, enhancing control and putting vehicle performance and race strategy firmly in the player’s hands. With new suspension motions, tire models, aero simulation, and revamped engine and setup options, players receive detailed feedback for a more accurate handling performance.
Updates to iconic tracks like Silverstone, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Jeddah Corniche Circuit, and Lusail International Circuit have significantly enhanced realism in F1 24, increasing authenticity and accuracy. The official cars of all 10 F1 teams have been meticulously recreated using detailed CAD data, and the F1 drivers have been brought to life with improved hair rendering, eye, and skin shades.
‘F1 World’ returns as an in-game hub where players can complete new challenges throughout the season to improve their on-track skills and unlock true-to-life F1 livery, suits, and helmet drops. The new ‘Fanzone’ feature in ‘F1 World’ lets players compete in time-limited leagues representing their favorite teams and drivers in the F1 24 community, working towards shared goals and earning points to unlock rewards.
The digital-exclusive Champions Edition, featuring EA SPORTS ambassador Max Verstappen, includes Icons James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya, 18,000 Pitcoins, and an ‘F1 World’ Bumper Pack. Post-launch, players can look forward to five seasons of new playable content, each themed around actual F1 events, keeping fans deeply engaged in the racing action all year round.
