Virgil van Dijk could find himself in an interesting situation if speculation linking him with a move to Al-Nassr materializes during the current summer transfer window.
The Saudi Pro League club has expressed keen interest in the Liverpool captain, whose contract is entering its final year. Reports indicate that Al-Nassr officials have already initiated discussions with Van Dijk’s representatives, aiming to secure him as their marquee defensive signing.
According to sources cited by Marca, Al-Nassr is prepared to offer Van Dijk a contract that would make him the highest-paid defender globally, should he opt to leave the Premier League for Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in 2022, could potentially face an awkward reunion with Van Dijk due to a social media incident involving the Dutch defender in 2019.
