Quarter-Final Clashes: England vs. Switzerland and Netherlands vs. Turkey

The UEFA EURO 2024 quarter-finals conclude today with two exciting matches: England vs. Switzerland and the Netherlands vs. Turkey. Here’s a preview of the action in Düsseldorf and Berlin.

18:00: England vs. Switzerland (Düsseldorf)

They have scored two or more goals in six of their last eight EURO finals games and will look to continue this scoring form in Berlin as they aim for their first EURO semi-final in 20 years. Gakpo remarked, “I have no memories of [EURO] 2004, but I do of 2008. We’re now here with our squad trying to create memories of our own.”

Turkey, one of the tournament’s most entertaining teams, edged past Austria in a thrilling round of 16 match. The team celebrated joyously at full time, reflecting their determination and spirit. Winger Arda Güler expressed his excitement: “I’m very excited to play in Berlin in front of our supporters. The Netherlands, of course, are very difficult opponents. But we believe in ourselves and we want to go through to the next round.”
