Real Madrid extended their lead in stoppage time when Mallorca defender Martin Valjent inadvertently turned a cross from substitute Brahim Díaz into his own net while trying to block a pass intended for Kylian Mbappé.
Rodrygo sealed the result moments later, finishing from close range after a sensational delivery into the box by Lucas Vázquez, leaving Mallorca goalkeeper Dominik Greif with no chance.
The victory sets up an electrifying final against Barcelona, who defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in the other semi-final. Goals from Gavi and rising star Lamine Yamal propelled Barça into Sunday’s clash, marking the third consecutive Super Cup final between Spain’s fiercest rivals.
Real Madrid, the reigning Super Cup champions, will aim to defend their title, while Barcelona, with a record 14 Super Cup trophies to Real’s 13, will seek to reclaim the crown they last held in 2023.
