Experts have urged Arsenal to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak to boost their chances of winning the Premier League title for the first time in over two decades.
Having finished as runners-up to Manchester City in the past two seasons, Arsenal narrowly missed out last year, trailing City by just two points. Despite boasting a squad brimming with talent, critics have pointed out that the Gunners lack the necessary firepower to secure key victories.
Arsenal have linked themselves with several strikers in recent seasons, including Viktor Gyokeres, Ollie Watkins, and Ivan Toney, and reportedly showed interest in Isak before his £63 million transfer from Real Sociedad to Newcastle.
Although Gabriel Jesus has found form, scoring five goals in his last two matches, all against Crystal Palace, the Brazilian has struggled to maintain a consistent starting role. This has led to calls for Arsenal to strengthen their forward line.

Former Premier League winner Dwight Yorke believes Arsenal must invest £100 million in Isak if they are serious about clinching the title. Yorke, who won the league with Manchester United, expressed disbelief that Arsenal passed on the opportunity to sign Isak when he was available.
“Arsenal have been dominant in their recent matches, but they’ve dropped crucial points against Everton and Fulham,” Yorke told sportslens.com. “They’re missing something. I can’t understand why they hesitated when they had the chance to sign Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad. Newcastle seized the opportunity, and Arsenal missed out—it’s ridiculous.”
Yorke went on to recommend that Arsenal make Isak their priority when the January transfer window opens: “If they want to win the Premier League, they should offer £100 million to Newcastle for Isak. He’s a proven talent, a constant threat, and he would score plenty of goals for Arsenal.”
With Manchester City struggling in what has been their worst form under Pep Guardiola, Arsenal currently trail Liverpool and Chelsea in the title race, having scored fewer goals than both teams. The addition of Isak, Yorke believes, could provide the finishing touch Arsenal need to secure their first league title in 20 years.
