The Polish Football Association (PZPN) has set up a fund exceeding $450,000 to assist clubs impacted by severe floods in central Europe, marking the worst flooding in the region in two decades. The disaster has claimed at least 24 lives, including seven in Poland, with Wroclaw, the country’s third-largest city, suffering extensive damage.

PZPN president Cezary Kulesza announced on X that, in collaboration with provincial association leaders, they will donate 1.75 million Polish zloty to support affected clubs.
In response to the crisis, top-flight club Slask Wroclaw has postponed its home match against Stal Mielec and transformed its stadium into a donation center for flood relief. The club has also initiated a fundraiser and sent players and coaches to flood-hit areas to distribute essential supplies.
Additionally, the European Union has committed billions of euros to assist the region, with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stating that Poland could receive up to 5 billion euros ($5.59 billion) for recovery efforts.
These collective efforts highlight the solidarity within Polish football and the broader community as they work to support those impacted by this devastating natural disaster.
