In a groundbreaking achievement for Indian football, the U-18 team of Mohammedan Sporting Club (SC) will participate in the Indo-French football tournament in Paris from November 25 to November 30. This marks a historic moment, as Mohammedan SC becomes the first Indian professional club to take part in this prestigious event.
The talented young players from Mohammedan SC will have the unique opportunity to compete against some of the top clubs in Europe, including renowned teams such as Paris Saint-Germain and Paris FC.
Indian youth clubs have increasingly been making their mark on the international stage over the past year. Notably, Mumbai City FC’s U-15 team participated in the Mina Cup 2024, while Punjab FC’s U-21 team showcased their talent in the Next Generation Cup 2024. In a remarkable feat, Punjab FC’s U-21 team secured victories over academy teams from prestigious clubs, defeating Aston Villa 2-0 and Everton 2-1 in consecutive matches.
