Lukaku Eyes Lucrative Saudi Move Following De Bruyne’s Lead

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku appears open to a move to the Saudi Arabian league, mirroring teammate Kevin De Bruyne’s recent comments.

Lukaku, currently on loan at Roma from Chelsea, is unlikely to return to Stamford Bridge. With limited options in Europe, the riches of the Saudi league seem increasingly attractive.

“Saudi Arabia wouldn’t stop me,” Lukaku declared. He believes the league’s quality is underrated and predicts an influx of top European players. He cites the passionate fans and improving infrastructure as factors alongside financial gain.

Last year, a move to Al-Hilal fell through at the last minute, leaving Lukaku hesitant. However, witnessing De Bruyne’s openness to a similar move seems to have shifted his perspective.

De Bruyne, nearing the end of his contract at Manchester City, has acknowledged the financial allure of Saudi Arabia. He ponders the potential for a lucrative final chapter in his career. His representatives are reportedly in talks with up to 10 Saudi clubs.

While De Bruyne considers MLS outfit San Diego FC as another option, the Saudi league appears to be a serious contender for both Belgian stars. Lukaku and De Bruyne’s potential arrivals could signal a growing trend of established European players seeking lucrative opportunities in the Middle East.
