Ange Postecoglou Responds to Criticism Over Tottenham’s Ticket Price Hike

Amidst backlash from supporters’ groups over a six percent rise in ticket prices and the discontinuation of senior concessions, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust has deemed the decision “unacceptable” and reached out to Premier League chief executive Richard Masters.

However, Postecoglou, speaking ahead of Tottenham’s upcoming match against Fulham, pushed back against attributing the price increase to overseas supporters. He expressed his disagreement with labeling people as “plastic” or “tourists,” highlighting the global support base of the football club.

The recent victory of West Ham over Freiburg has implications for Tottenham and other Premier League clubs vying for European spots. With fifth place now likely to secure a Champions League berth next season. However, Tottenham faces a challenging task against Fulham, compounded by the absence of Micky van de Ven due to injury. Postecoglou confirmed that while Van de Ven will miss the upcoming match. He is expected to return after the international break. Additionally, Richarlison’s availability depends on his recovery from injury.

With Van de Ven sidelined, Radu Dragusin is set to make his first start since joining the club in January, as confirmed by Postecoglou.
