In the ongoing Ranji Trophy semifinal clash between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh, Yash Dubey showcased brilliance on the field with a stunning catch to dismiss Vidarbha’s captain, Akshay Wadkar. Despite the exceptional fielding effort, Vidarbha found themselves struggling against Madhya Pradesh’s formidable bowling attack.
Avesh Khan Leads the Charge
Avesh Khan emerged as the chief tormentor for Vidarbha, dismantling their batting order with four wickets already to his name. While Karun Nair’s resilient innings offers hope for Vidarbha, they still face an uphill task to reach the 200-run mark, having lost eight wickets.
Yash Dubey’s remarkable one-handed catch added to the highlights of this Ranji season, dismissing Vidarbha’s skipper with minimal damage to the scoreboard. Positioned at gully, Dubey seized the opportunity as Akshay Wadkar edged a delivery from Kulwant Khejroliya outside the off stump.
As Vidarbha looks to recover, they pin their hopes on Karun Nair to provide a much-needed boost to their total. Despite their potent bowling attack, Vidarbha recognizes the importance of accumulating extra runs to support their bowlers and potentially turn the tide in their favor.
