This victory completed a 2-0 series sweep for India, further establishing their dominance in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle, despite facing significant weather disruptions that led to over two days of play being lost to rain.
With this win, India earned an essential 12 points, raising their total to 98 points and solidifying their top position in the WTC points table. The Indian bowlers set the stage by dismissing Bangladesh for 233 in their first innings. In response, India showcased aggressive batting, driven by a record-breaking opening partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma.
